The F-Orkestra is a Freiburg based large group working regularly since 1987. After a Generationswechsel within the group, new members, such as singer Jan F. Kurth or drummer Klaus Wallmeier give new impulses to the artistic work.
The group plays the members' compositions and improvising concepts, conducted music and, of course, free improvised music.
Lately, the group presented "Mahler plays the Fork – F-Orkestra plays Mahler", a project that they developed for the Gustav-Mahler-Year 2010.
